Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started with a timber sale?
The process begins with a free consultation. We'll visit your property, assess the timber, discuss your goals, and provide a no-obligation proposal. Contact us to schedule your consultation.
What is the minimum acreage for logging services?
While we can work with properties of various sizes, timber sales are typically most economical for properties of 20 acres or more. However, smaller properties may be viable depending on timber quality and location.
How long does a typical timber harvest take?
Timeline varies based on acreage, terrain, and timber volume. A small selective harvest might take 2-4 weeks, while larger operations could take several months. We'll provide a detailed timeline in our proposal.
Do you handle all necessary permits?
Yes, we handle all permitting requirements as part of our service. This includes erosion and sediment control plans, stream crossing permits, and any other required documentation.
Can I bring my own logs for custom milling?
Absolutely! We welcome customers who bring their own logs for custom milling. Whether it's trees from your property or salvaged wood, we can mill them to your specifications.
What certifications do you hold?
We're certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), and American Tree Farm System (ATFS). Our foresters are licensed and our operations meet all environmental standards.
